How does Glycopyrrolate work?

Unlike aluminum salt which blocks the sweat glands, glycopyrrolate applied topically can penetrate the skin to block the nerve signals that stimulate the sweat glands, resulting in a reduction of sweat secretion.

How to use Glycopyrrolate?

  • Apply to affected area once daily at bedtime. Avoid nose, mouth and eye areas.
  • Do not wash the treated skin for 4 hours after the application.
  • It can be used safely with aluminum salt containing products such as Drysol in more severe case of sweating. In such case, use Drysol at bedtime and topical glycopyrrolate in the morning.
  • According to clinical data reported, topical application of glycopyrrolate is well tolerated.
No side effects were reported in 1% or 0.5% glycopyrrolate.
